Arthur Bate Fund Now Open
The Arthur Bate Fund is a fund created by POhWER in memory of Arthur Bate OBE, founder of POhWER. Arthur battled for the rights of people with disabilities to have their voices heard.
The aim of this fund is to support voluntary sector groups or organisations to engage more people in creating spaces for advocacy or peer support.
Any group can apply for the grant where it meets these priorities:
- Building group advocacy
- Building empowerement skills
- Improving participation and awareness in safeguarding
- Activities that involve/promote community integration
Support may include venue hire, travel costs, refreshments, accessibility improvements, marketing, technology and/or training.
You can get support for up to £2,000.
