Vacancy Closed

Context of Role

The Junction Foundation are a vibrant charity, empowering children, young people, and their families in the Tees Valley.

They believe in building trust, self-belief, and a sense of belonging through positive relationships and meaningful participation.

The Junction Foundation are proud of their reputation for championing children and young people’s voices and driving positive change through social action.

Role Description

The Junction Foundation are excited to recruit a qualified HI CBT Practitioner to deliver, with clinical supervision, high-quality, outcome-focused, evidence-based CBT interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression within their newly formed partnership, the Tees Valley Getting Help Service (TVGH).

Purpose of the Role

The new service is delivered by Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) and key partners Alliance Psychological Services, The Link CIC, Teesside Mind, Changing Futures North East, and The Junction Foundation under one service.

This approach makes it simpler for children, young people, and their families to access advice and early support, and for partners to make requests for help when needed.

The service builds on the support currently available for children and young people by providing earlier mental health support when difficulties arise.

It offers children, young people, and their families a range of evidence-based advice, support, and signposting, helping ensure we get it right the first time.

The post holder will primarily deliver interventions in Stockton-on-Tees, Hartlepool, and Darlington, with flexibility required to meet the needs of the service by undertaking clinical work across the South Tees area as required.
