If so Let’s Connect are running a short fully funded safeTALK workshop to help people learn how to spot the signs of suicide and take action.

This course is fully funded if you work in Stockton, Middlesbrough, or Redcar—so it’s completely free to attend.

Training Description

You’ll learn a simple four-step approach called TALK – Tell, Ask, Listen, Keep-safe.

It’s practical, easy to remember, and designed to help you respond in the moment and guide someone towards support.

These practical steps offer immediate help to someone having thoughts of suicide and helps you both move forward to connect with more specialised support.

In this training, you’ll learn how to:

  • How to spot signs someone might be having suicidal thoughts (including ones that are easy to miss)
  • How to start and handle conversations about suicide
  • Ways to help someone stay safe and connect them with support
