Role Description

The Junction Foundation are looking for an inspiring and proactive TYS Project Worker to join their team and support the delivery of a needs-led service for children and young people.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will deliver detached youth work, provide 1:1 support, and facilitate structured group sessions, while working closely with hard-to-reach and vulnerable young people.

You will play a key role in planning, delivering and evaluating sessions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting positive outcomes for young people through targeted interventions.

This role also involves managing a small caseload, contributing to partnership work, and supporting the coordination of localised delivery, in line with The Junction Foundation’s values and approach.

Purpose of the Role

  • To deliver detached youth work sessions, 1:1 sessions and structured group work sessions as directed by the Youth Work Coordinator. This will include some line management of sub teams.
  • To deliver, evaluate and record detached youth work activities and support for young people, working within the principles and values of The Junction at all times.
  • Data recording responsibilities and planning for sessions – including development work and health and safety.
  • To support positive outcomes for children and young people including reporting, planning, evaluating and recording of activities including the production of timely reports upon request.
  • To attend meetings with partners directly related to issues affecting young people as directed.
  • To support hard to reach and vulnerable young people, manage a small case load of young people and plan and deliver issue-based group work.
