We are regularly asked by funders to promote grant opportunities that they want to encourage applications to from organisations and groups based within or delivering to residents of the borough. You can find these open opportunities here.

Community & Funding News

This weekly newsletter of funding opportunities and community news is created and distributed by the Community Development Team at Redcar and Cleveland council. It usually has a deadline of Friday for inclusion of opportunities and is distributed each Tuesday morning. To be added to the distribution list please email adrian.harris@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk.

Darlington Building Society 5% Pledge Fund

Every year Darlington Building Society is committed to sharing 5% of its profits to a range of different good causes through their 5% Pledge Fund. Applications are welcomed from across Darlington, Teesside, County Durham, Sunderland and parts of North Yorkshire. Co-op Local Community Fund

The Co-op Local Community Fund supports projects across the UK that their members care about. Every time their members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, they’ll give local causes a helping hand. UKSPF Rural England Prosperity Fund

The Rural England Prosperity Fund (otherwise referred to as the “Rural Fund”) is a capital grant programme integrated into the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). In Tees Valley the Rural England Prosperity Fund is led by Tees Valley Combined Authority.

The aim of the Rural Fund is to help improve productivity, strengthen and benefit the rural economy and rural communities. In Tees Valley, the Rural Fund can only be used to finance capital projects for small rural businesses and communities in rural areas of Redcar and Cleveland.

Tees Valley Rural Action and RCVDA are delighted to announce the return of GrantFinder for voluntary sector organisations in Redcar and Cleveland.

The Redcar Fund Seekers portal, powered by IDOX GrantFinder, is an open, self-service grant portal that gives you access to the thousands of grant opportunities from national, regional and local funders from the public sector to private charitable foundations and corporate sponsors.

Grant Funding Resources in the Tees Valley

Funding advice and resources are provided by each of our fraternal, place based, infrastructure support organisations, much of which is freely available on their websites and you may be able to access direct support depending on which borough you, your organisation or your activity is undertaken.

Tees Valley Rural Action provide support for organisations based in and activity delivered in the rural of each of the local authority areas, including being the primary point of contact for organisations based-in or delivering work in the Darlington Borough Council area.

Tees Valley Community Foundation

The Tees Valley Community Foundation has a general community fund where groups can apply for grants of up to £2,500. It also has a range of other fundraising support services that are free to access, find out more details here.

The fortnightly FINE email digest pulls together current funding opportunities from dozens of sources into an easy to update digest. It’s easy to sign up for their FREE Core Membership which will give you access to all their ebulletins.

Localgiving: Magic Little Grants 2023

Localgiving is a membership network and online fundraising platform dedicated to supporting local charities and community groups in the United Kingdom.

Localgiving’s Magic Little Grants fund gives smaller charities and community groups the chance to apply online for a £500 grant to deliver projects across Great Britain.

With a simple 20-minute application process for a £500 grant and an outcome within six weeks, the Magic Little Grants fund reduces the work required for grass-roots organisations to access the funding they need to launch or strengthen their services.
