DoorWays Project: Enabling Change - RCVDA

DoorWays Project: Enabling Change

We would like to extend our partnerships to involve working with schools in the Redcar and Cleveland area. Doorways was established in 1998, and the project works with young people living in and around the area. We have developed a number of services, facilities and support networks for young people, providing emotional, practical support, advice and information needed during times of difficulties. The key to our success is we do not operate a one size fits all service. We understand each young person has to be approached in a way that will access their preferred way of learning and understanding..

Some of the services available are:

  • One to one sessions; enabling change in behaviour and managing emotions
  • “Labyrinth” is a learning resource, developing a young person’s life skills
  • Drop in & Media activities
  • Group interactive sessions
  • Information, advice , guidance and sign posting to other support agencies
  • Street work is part of our ethos; engaging with young people

We operate a professional and confidential service with robust policies and procedures in place to work with young people. With more than ten years’ experience and as project leader a fully qualified practitioner working with young people.

I would welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss how we can work together to enable the young people in your care to unleash their full learning potential and to become all they can be.
