South Tees Summer Training Programme

Low Cost Training available now.

This training is subsidised through a partnership between RCVDA, TVRCC, MVDA and FINE with funding through Transforming Local Infrastructure, which Big Fund is delivering on behalf of the Office for Civil Society, Cabinet Office and themes have been selected to ensure that the VCS across South Tees have the skills and knowledge to keep pace with the changing face of the sector.

Legal: Part I, Contracting

RCVDA’s Legal Consultant, Nick Dent, provides an overview of contracts for trustees of voluntary and community organisations and anybody regularly engaged in negotiating with another party for the provision of goods and services.

Theresa Carling from TBI Law presents an overview of the redundancy process and what steps you can take to avoid Tribunal Claims. Terry Perkins (NAVCA) presents an award winning public law workshop that aims to equip voluntary and community organisations to use the principles of public law and the Compact to negotiate effectively with public bodies.

Every workplace needs someone to take charge of first aid arrangements. This training, provided by Skillshare, is suitable for First Aiders in environments such as offices or community centres.

Volunteers and the Law

Nathan Bruce provides a session focused on legislation around volunteers, ensuring that voluntary and community organisations aren’t exposed to unnecessary risk and that volunteers are clear on their role within the organisation.

Please note: a standard cancellation fee of £20 will be charged for non-attendance if you do not notify us at least two working days before the event.
