ESIF & YEI Opportunities for the Voluntary & Community Sector

Ensuring that the organisations who deliver their support services locally are able to contribute to the EU project opportunities. Pre meeting for small delivery organisations and other interested parties. 11am Weds 29th April at St Mary’s Centre Middlesbrough

Please come and join us to find out more.

I have taken the initiative with the encouragement and support of a number of colleagues to set up an open meeting which brings together smaller community based providers who have something to offer but are unlikely to be a lead partners. This is to start to explore and understand what you already do that you might be able to offer and contribute to the EU funded Projects. The invitations to tender are for Tees Valley wide projects which will have to provide real Tees Valley coverage reaching into all the nooks and crannies are sometimes only reached by smaller targeted organisations so yours might be essential.

I know the idea may seem a bit daunting but John Pearson the Chair of the Redcar and Cleveland Voluntary Sector Forum has tried to make sense of why is it important to be involved and has produced this outline with the fit for YEI. The closing date for applications for YEI lead partners is 22nd or 29th May so the time frame is short to let people know you may be interested.

Sue Hannan for Tees Valley Unlimited has agreed to make a presentation and will be available to answer questions and give some idea of the time frame for YEI and also the Social inclusion funding through BIG Lottery. I appreciate that you have endlessly completed questionnaires but this is a chance to see how the information you have provided fits with what the opportunities might be. I will be seeking to ensure that the contact points included in questionnaire that have been completed are able to be used or interested lead bodies to follow up. The detail will not be shared.

I am inviting people to come together to explore the opportunities and ensure they have a chance to put themselves forward. This is not about supporting a single lead partner but ensuring that all who might want to be involved can have a dialogue. I am hoping that potential lead partners will attend as well as potential providers.

Please do let me know if you are able to attend and circulate this invitation widely.
