The Northern Inclusion Consortium. Building Better Opportunities – Tees Valley Programme

The Northern Inclusion Consortium is a newly formed company established by four well respected not for profit organisations that help people with complex needs in the North of England. DISC, Changing Lives, Groundwork North East & Cumbria, and Mental Health Concern all provide innovative solutions to combat the problems associated with homelessness, joblessness, offending, drug and alcohol, and poor physical and mental health.

The NIC will be pursuing funding opportunities under the ESIF programmes this summer including the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) – Tees Valley Programme. We are currently looking for partner providers who are interested in delivering activity that can support social inclusion in the Tees Valley 2016 -2019. A fundamental element of BBO will be the identification and subsequent bridging of gaps in provision, with emphasis placed on adding value rather than displacing existing services.

As part of this process, the NIC would like to meet with strategic organisations already operating in the region delivering activities to socially excluded and unemployed people over 29 around the three priority themes for the BBO – Tees Valley Programme:

  • Theme 1. Removing Health and Wellbeing Barriers to Employment
  • Theme 2. Steps towards Employment
  • Theme 3. Financial Inclusion (including Digital Inclusion)

If you would be willing to meet a representative of the Northern Inclusion Consortium to discuss any projects or services that you think BBO could add value to and you are interested in being a potential delivery partner please contact Andrew Rayner andrew.rayner@niconsortium.org with your availability for the weeks commencing 08/06, 15/06 and 22/06, your contact details, and a member of our team will be in touch shortly to arrange a specific time/date at your convenience.

If you have not done so already, please complete a short questionnaire using the link below. The deadline for receipt of the completed Expression of Interest is 5pm Wednesday 10th June 2015.
