Volunteers Needed

REMEMORIAL WW1

This project explores the transition to peace in the Tees Valley, following the First World War. The project will explore the period and legacy of Armistice Day in November 1918, through to Peace Day, the national celebration which followed the signing of the Versailles Peace Treaty, in July 1919. We will explore themes of unemployment, decline of industry, returning from war, displacement of people, dealing with grief, changing gender roles and changing social structures experienced in the Tees Valley in the wake of the war. This will be achieved through a series of public events and the creation of an exhibition which will be seen across the area in the summer of 2019.
We are looking for

  • Historical Researchers
  • Photographers
  • Social Media coordinators
