As you may know RCVDA would have been holding their annual Volunteer Awards Event in June this year, during National Volunteers Week. This is a chance to celebrate and say ‘thank you’ for the contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK.
As we’re sure you will understand with the current COVID-19 pandemic, and to follow the government guidance, for now we have had to postpone the event.
We would encourage everyone to use ‘Volunteers Week’ as a way of thanking volunteers for everything they have done, prior to and during the COVID-19 crisis. There has never been a time when volunteering has had such a significant role to play in these unprecedented times.
We have created a virtual Volunteer Gallery highlighting volunteers that have once again have gone above and beyond, whether helping in response to Covid-19, or unable to do their usual volunteer role because of it.
