Community Grants

Woodsmith’s Community Grants will be open for 3 rounds once again this year and the deadlines for accepting applications are 10am on the 17th of April, the 17th of July and the 31st of October (you may only apply once in 12 months).

The foundation will be accepting applications for funding projects from community organisations across the boroughs of Redcar & Cleveland, Scarborough and North York Moors National Park that will increase opportunities for local people to have better life chances, encourage positive changes either by improving lives/places or tackling issues or bring people together and enrich lives.

Grant Information

How Much:Up to £5,000.
Application Deadline:Wednesday 17th April at 10am.
Wednesday 17th July at 10am.
Thursday 31st October at 10am.

Young & Talented

The Young & Talented grant is open throughout the year (closing at 10am on 31st October) however these are reviewed on a rolling basis and thus people are encouraged to apply as soon as they are able to.

The Woodsmith Foundation will be accepting applications from young people (or from parents, guardians or other such trusted adults) across the boroughs of Redcar & Cleveland, Scarborough and North York Moors National Park with the aim of supporting the progress of talented young people where their family or carer is unable to afford to do so such as expensive competition fees, transport & accommodation costs, specialist coaching & tuition, exam & qualification fees or essential equipment and clothing.

Dormanstown Seed Fund

The Dormanstown Seed Fund is currently accepting applications from organisations or individuals with a strong connection to the community who would like to deliver projects that increase activities for residents, tackle local issues, or help people come together to develop new ideas for Dormanstown.

This is a new Seed Fund Grant offer for the community which will support a wide range of organisations and individuals to deliver projects that increase activities for residents, tackle local issues, or help people come together to develop new ideas for Dormanstown.
