South Tees Changing Futures VCS Forum - RCVDA

South Tees Changing Futures VCS Forum

For those involved in running local Voluntary and Community Organisations (VCOs) across Redcar & Cleveland and/or Middlesbrough working with people experiencing multiple disadvantage (defined as covering addictions; domestic abuse; homelessness and housing; mental health; and those people who are engaged with the criminal justice system), there is a new South Tees Changing Futures VCS Forum.

Two small group meetings have been held to-date with a further meeting planned for Monday 22 April at 3pm (via Microsoft Teams).

This specific meeting will provide an opportunity for representatives from local VCOs to inform local plans with associated funding around a small number of areas, including:

  • Share ideas on the ways in which local VCS capacity and partnership engagement can be strengthened in the area of multiple disadvantage
  • Inform the continued development of the local ‘Housing First’ model
  • Input to the development of two specific VCS projects around:
    • Mental health support for refugees and asylum seekers
    • Domestic abuse in diverse communities.

If you are from a charity, community group or other voluntary organisation working across the South Tees and would like to be added to the mailing list for the South Tees Changing Futures VCS Forum, let anne.richards@rcvda.org.uk know and you will receive a calendar invite for the meeting on 22 April in the first instance.
