Through their nature reserves, community engagement, and advocacy, they empower people of all ages to connect with wildlife and take action for the environment.

Role Description

Tees Valley Wildlife Trust are looking for Reservoir Rangers at Lockwood Beck or Scaling Dam Reservoirs to carry out essential hands-on work.

Practical Conservation volunteering is particularly special because of its connections with good health and well-being, offering a safe and relaxing environment through which you can engage with other people, nature and the local community.

Practical Conservation volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, such as the use of hand tools and equipment, or habitat management and site maintenance techniques.

It is also a great way to learn basic species identification and to understand ecosystems and habitats of the wider Tees Valley.

Purpose of the Role

The Reservoir Rangers meet up every Tuesday at Lockwood Beck or Scaling Dam Reservoirs to carry out essential hands-on work that keep both reservoir thriving for both wildlife and visitors.

Whether it’s path maintenance, meadow management, or general practical work, there’s always something meaningful to do—and no experience is needed.
