Role Description

Westfield Farm in Dormanstown is looking for volunteer Woodwork Assistants to support their Woodworking Group.
This role is perfect for someone who loves practical tasks, working with others, and contributing to meaningful community projects.
Purpose of the Role
To assist and work alongside the woodworking group to create, repair and design items that support Westfield Farm’s activities.
- Completing relevant tool training and risk assessments
- Planning, salvaging, designing, repairing, building and painting items for sale to help raise funds
- Using hand tools safely to make a range of products (e.g., boxes, containers, bird feeders, ornaments)
- Working as part of a team to plan and build items for customers
- Listening to and following instructions from Beyond Housing staff
- Keeping the workspace clean and tidy, ensuring tools and resources are stored correctly
- Following all health & safety guidance and reporting any faulty equipment immediately
