Crimestoppers Trust is an independent UK charity that allows people to anonymously report crime information, 24/7, without contacting the police directly.

Founded in 1988 by Lord Ashcroft, it ensures 100% anonymity, meaning users are never named, and calls/online forms cannot be traced.

Role Description

Crimestoppers Trust has a volunteering opportunity in a role which suits individuals who want to make a positive impact on their community, enjoy teamwork, and are also confident working independently.

As a Community Volunteer, you’ll be part of a local team or committee, contributing ideas and initiatives to promote their mission of preventing and solving crime through anonymous reporting and increased community awareness.

What are they looking for?

  • No specific experience required – full training provided
  • Enthusiasm for Crimestoppers’ mission and vision 
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team 
  • Good communication skills and a community-focused approach 
  • Previous volunteering or outreach experience is helpful but not essential 

Purpose of the Role

  • Represent and promote Crimestoppers locally 
  • Support awareness campaigns, events, and outreach activities 
  • Participate in local volunteer or committee meetings 
  • Work independently on ideas that align with Crimestoppers’ aims 
  • Offer feedback and suggestions to strengthen local community engagement.
