Context of Role

Tyneside Women’s Health is a charity which was set up in 1985 to provide mental health support to women in a women-only environment.

Role Description

Tyneside Women’s Health are looking for an enthusiastic and committed woman to join their team as Director of Policy & Advocacy (Job Ref RW2 03.24).

The successful candidate will lead Represent Women activity across the North East.

This is a developing role and it is envisaged that the post holder will be supported to move into a Chief Executive Officer role once Represent Women becomes an independent organisation.

Purpose of the Role

To lead the Represent Women movement and instigate strategic change for women and girls. To provide line management support to the Member Support, Marketing & Communications Officer. To oversee all operational systems of Represent Women, and to ensure objectives are achieved. To work according to the vision, aims, values and strategic objectives of Represent Women.
