Context of Role

A Way Out is an outreach and prevention charity which aims to engage, empower and equip vulnerable and excluded women, families and young people to live lives free from harm, abuse and exploitation and to reduce life limiting choices and behaviour.

Role Description

A Way Out are looking to recruit an experienced, responsive, positive and pro-active individual who will develop quality resources for use across the service and enthusiastically deliver 1-1 and group work sessions within their Women’s Criminal Justice Team.

These roles are agile working which will include being office based, delivering within the community and with the possibility of some home working, therefore you will need to be able to work effectively independently, and as a virtual team, under pressure to meet challenging deadlines.

Purpose of the Role

A Way Out are looking for experienced candidates who can use their initiative and creativity to work with women to motivate and engage them in both one-to-one and group work intervention.

The post also requires an ability to research and work with colleagues to develop new resources for use in groups alongside innovative and creative ways to engage women.

A Way Out are looking for an individual who can work with a range of people and organisations to achieve the best outcomes for women in the service.

The post holder will carry a case load and be required to work effectively with staff across the service offer so that desired outcomes can met using a trauma informed and effective approach.
