We are running a further two FREE courses for Volunteers here at Westfield Farm.

FREE Mental Health Training

Redcar & Cleveland Mind are offering free mental health training through the Tees Mental Health Training Hub.

The next courses are:

Mental Health First Aid Lite – 9.30am to 1.30pm on the 13th May @ Middlesbrough

Mental Health First Aid – 2 full days – 11th and 18th May @ Redcar

Mental Health First Aid – 2 full days – 14th and 15th May @ Hartlepool

‘Young People and Skills in Tees Valley’ Seminar

There is a free seminar at Redcar and Cleveland College on Friday 22 May 2015 on the important issue of Young People and Skills in Tees Valley. This event has been organised by the Institute for Local Governance with Redcar and Cleveland College and involves participation from those engaged in addressing these issues; including local colleges, Teesside University, Durham University, Tees Valley Unlimited and participants from the voluntary sector.

The event will be chaired by Emeritus Professor Alan Townsend, Durham University and Board Member of Bishop Auckland College.

The event will include a focus on funding opportunities, particularly from European sources.

Springtime Afternoon Entertainment

On Wednesday 3rd June Redcar and Cleveland Older People’s Partnership are holding a springtime event preceded by their AGM.

New Save the Date: now 5th June 3-5pm

Just to let you know Redcar and Cleveland Community Heart has been booked for a further CCG Mental Health Strategy consultation event on Friday 5th June 3-5pm (previously Wednesday 27th May, 3-5pm). It will follow the same format as the previous event in North Ormesby, but is aimed primarily at those who were unable to attend.

Unfortunately we were unable to find a venue for an evening event as hoped.

Partner organisations are invited, but please let Mark Burdon, (contact details are below), know if you are able to attend. Priority will be given to service users and carers in the event all the places fill up.
