Groundwork NE – Tesco Community Grants

Tesco Community Grants (blue tokens) are looking for the next round of applications.

Deadline for applications will be November 22nd 2022, successful applicants will go into Store for voting Jan/Feb/Mar 2023.

Do you know you can reapply for a grant as long as you have spent your previous funding and sent in your completed report.

Get to know your local Tesco Community Champion and ask them to nominate you! You will get notified to complete an application. There is an automatic slot for one nomination per store.

The grant application is really simple, although you must have proof of identity ready to upload onto the form, this can be just from a photo you have taken of your chosen ID, you don’t need to scan any docs. If you are not a charity, you will need to have two contacts prove their ID.

To be eligible to apply you must be from a charity, a community group or school / nursery, Foodbanks, sports group, resident associations, any not-for-profit group. Some CIC’s are excluded, check the website for more information.

The applications are now welcoming any theme that makes a difference but Tesco are still keen to support children, families, loneliness and food insecurities.

You can apply for £500, £1000 or £1500.

To apply, please click the link and scroll down to complete the eligibility checker, you will then receive an email with the application. If you need support with your application, please email Tracy Roberts:

Police and Crime Commissioner for Cleveland – Bright Sparks Fund

The Bright Sparks Fund is available for charities or charitable organisations.

The Fund allows local organisations to seek funding for an activity or project running on Halloween or Bonfire Night.

Both dates can be flashpoints for antisocial behaviour in Cleveland, drawing the area’s young people into problematic behaviour and making vulnerable people particularly isolated.

Perhaps you could apply for funding to:
Run a youth club on either evening to keep young people off the streets and in positive activity.
Host a party or event for the community, to help build positive relationships.
Organise an event for vulnerable people, so they do not feel alone or frightened.

More information on the fund can be found here: https://www.cleveland.pcc.police.uk/how-can-we-help/community-funding/apply-for-community-funding/

CLOSING DATE: 5 October 2022

Questions on the fund can be directed to Strategic Contract Manager Amanda Wilkinson on Amanda.Wilkinson@cleveland.police.uk or 01642 301887
