Is this Session for me?
This session is aimed at Social Care & Voluntary Care Sector Managers, Senior Nurse Managers/Leads, CCG Leads, GP Federation Leads and colleagues linked into the social & voluntary care workforce agenda. This is an interactive and informal session designed to give an overview of the Nursing Associate Role to date, followed by table activities looking at the role of the Nursing Associate within the Social & Voluntary care environments.

Aims
To increase: –
The understanding of the role of the Nursing Associate in the Social & Voluntary care settings
The understanding the Nursing Associate Programme and its delivery
The understanding of the individual and employer commitment throughout the Programme
The understanding of the funding to support the employers of Trainee Nursing Associates.

Matrix Neurological Recruitment

Matrix Neurological is an innovative charity based in Middlesbrough that exists to help remove all inequalities for children and young people living with an acquired brain injury. We also provide practical and emotional peer support to their families.

Due to the award of some new funding we are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about helping children and young people to maximise their skills and personal development post brain injury, through provision of fun non-clinical interventions.

As part of a support team, you will provide stimulating fun activities that will assist with the ongoing cognitive, communication, social, emotional and behavioural development of these young people. You will have experience of person-centred support, be compassionate and understanding; possess excellent communication and administration skills and be experienced in working with disadvantaged children and young people with behavioural difficulties.

You do not need experience of acquired brain injury as training will be provided, but you will need experience of successfully engaging and working directly with children and young people with disabilities.

ABI Support Worker – (fixed term contract as funding dependent)
25 hours per week £11.41 per hour

The role is to provide emotional and development support to children and young people living with the effects of an acquired brain injury, to help facilitate improvements in their cognitive, communication, social, emotional and behavioural development and support their recovery journey. You will be working both in community settings and in family homes.
