National charity Contact is working with Tees Valley Clinical Commissioning Group to offer families living in Darlington, Middlesbrough or Redcar and Cleveland
priority access to their Listening ear service and workshops.

Contact helps parents of children with disabilities and special educational needs – whoever they are and whatever their child’s condition. We can help with your most pressing issues, like benefits and education. We guide families through services, and offer a listening ear during stressful times.

Redcar & Cleveland Mind – Job Vacancies

We’re looking for enthusiastic and skilled practitioners to join our team working with adults and children as we expand our services in 2021. We are looking for experienced staff who can provide high quality support for clients with a range of mental health needs to support their recovery. Wellbeing Practitioner (various pt/ft roles available). (JOB A) Salary: £22,347 ft equiv. (£11.46ph)

You will be experienced in working with children, young people or adults, and will have a comprehensive knowledge of the difficulties and challenges they face, and have the skills to help them navigate their way through these uncertain times. You will be working with clients aged 14+ with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, providing structured support to aid recovery. As part of a multi disciplinary team you will be working across a range of projects within Redcar & Cleveland, as well as our expanding Employee Assistance Programme. As a community based service it will be essential to your role to build effective relationships with other partner agencies who offer support and interventions to the people we support in our service. We are committed to life-long learning, opportunities to develop through training will become available as part of your role.

Children & Young People’s Group Facilitator (30hrs – Fixed term for 2 years). (JOB B) Salary: £22,347 pro rata. (£11.46ph)

As part of the government’s trailblazer project to put new Mental Health Support Teams in schools (MHSTs) we are looking to recruit a Group Facilitator to join a partnership team with other local VCS organisations, providing support in Primary and Secondary schools across Middlesbrough & Redcar and Cleveland. The Group Facilitator will play a vital role in the team, providing Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health provision by supporting children and young people to build resilience skills through group activity. The successful applicant will become trained in delivering the Friends Resilience programme which empowers children and young people to become engaged and thriving individuals, and promotes positive social and emotional skills. https://friendsresilience.org/ – Link to understand more about Friends Resilience training.

The applicant will have at least 1 years experience of working with children and young people, and will have the skills and ability to lead group activities. We are looking for someone passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people, to provide them with the tools they need at an early stage to have positive emotional and mental health.

Middlesbrough Council – Community Grant South Tees – HAF Xplore Christmas 2021

Middlesbrough Council is processing grants for the Holiday Activities and Food Programme for Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland – applications may be shared with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council colleagues as part of the assessment process and ongoing work around tackling poverty. They are also shared with The Junction for booking and monitoring purposes.

Following the amazing programmes delivered over the Easter and Summer school holidays, the grant programme to allow an even better programme over the Christmas holidays has now opened to applications. Please find attached both the application form and the notes re guidance and criteria, which have been simplified following feedback.
